John 16:7 says this: "But I tell you the truth: It is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Counselor will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you…"

Francis Chan says this about the Forgotten God: "The world is not moved or affected by love or actions that are of human origin. The church can't be any different from the world without the Holy Spirit. When we live in the Holy Spirit and the Holy Spirit lives in us, the evidence is unquestionable. The church becomes different and the world takes notice."

We need to become people and this needs to become a place that begins to do things that CANNOT be explained apart from the presence of God and his Holy Spirit. Some of us will live our whole lives believing this: "I have Jesus, why do I need the Holy Spirit?" We need the Holy Spirit because Jesus told us we would. Those who believe that and live it out are changing the world. Those who don't are simply living their lives making the Holy Spirit the "Forgotten God." It's time to live our lives with the Holy Spirit leading.
