World Changers for Christ 00

Don't like your world? Then do something about it! You can change your world!

In Romans 12:2 we read, "Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think." (NLT) Too many Christians try to think like and act like the world around them. But, we are commanded to change the way we think – to change OUR world, for Christ.

Beginning this Sunday at WFA, we will be sharing a four-part series of messages built around this theme of helping you change your world – becoming a World Changer for Christ. Here's the schedule:

  • Sunday, May 20 – Diary of a World Changer – Acts 16:16-34
  • Sunday, May 27 – Character of a World Changer – Luke 5:27-32
  • Sunday, June 3 – Requirements of a World Changer – 1 Corinthians 9:19-27
  • Sunday, June 10 – Passion of a World Changer – Matthew 9:35-38

This Sunday we will look at the Diary of a World Changer. Have you ever kept a diary, or perhaps a journal of your daily thoughts and activities? If so, when you or anyone reads it, they will have a good understanding of just what "makes you tick."

In many ways, the book of Acts is a diary of sorts of the actions, activities, and principles of the leaders of the early church. While there are many passages we could use for this message, we have selected Acts 16:16-34, where we read Luke's records of the imprisonment of Paul and Silas – and the details of what they did and said before, during, and after their imprisonment. This account gives us keen insight into the mindset of these great men of God. And, it provides us with a working standard for each of us as we daily write the diaries of our life's moments.

Be sure to join us for part 1 of this life-changing series of messages! You CAN be one of the "World Changers for Christ!"
